GAS PRICES STRIKE $2.21

(03/19/2005)

Gas hits record high!

Are gas prices making your heart go in overdrive?

The Triple A told state newspapers that right now the most expensive place in West Virginia to buy gas is Charleston.

They said the average amount for regular unleaded is at $2.09 a gallon.

Wrong.

The Triple A must have looked out their window to get their information, because nearly every station in Clay, Calhoun and Roane had prices from $2.12 to $2.21 a gallon for low test.

Greg Beheler with AAA says the news isn't very bright for the future. If the trend holds, oil prices are going to continue to rise.
