HAYNES UNDERGOES SURGERY FOR BROKEN BACK

A Millstone man is recovering after surgery for a broken back. Thirty-two-year-old Louis Hayes is "doing well after the surgery," according to his mother Carol Wine. Wine said the outcome of the surgery is unknown, related to what paralysis he might suffer. Haynes was seriously injured last Wednesday on Pine Creek while he was working on a tree trimming project, and a large limb fell against him. He also suffered broken ribs, and has been suffering from a collapsed lung.
