HAYNES SUFFERED BROKEN BACK IN TREE TRIMMING ACCIDENT

Thirty-two-year-old Louis Hayes of Millstone is scheduled for surgery today related to a broken back, according to his mother Carol Wine.

"The outcome of the injury is unclear," said Wine.

Haynes was seriously injured Wednesday on Pine Creek while he was working on a tree trimming project, and a large limb fell against him.

He also suffered broken ribs, and a was experiencing a collapsed lung today.

Haynes was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center and was later transfered to Charleston Area Medical Center.

Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville VFD responded to the accident.
