President, Calhoun County Humane Society

The Calhoun County Humane Society is starting a Spay and Neuter program for low income pet owners. The Humane Society will pay $25 of the surgery bill.

Pet owners may take their pet to the Veterinarian of their choice, however they must check and see if their Vet will except a certificate for payment. The Vet must send the certificate to the Humane Society for payment. Pet owners need to fill out an application and turn it in to the Humane Society, who will evaluate the application and decide if guidelines are met. The application will be approved or denied accordingly.

For more information or to request an application contact Janet Richards at 354-9196, Judy Yoak at 354-7594 or Jessica Richards at 304-210-5114.

The Society will be approving 20 applications during this cycle.

As a fundraiser the Humane Society is selling Hot Dog Sauce and Mexican Dip at $3.99 a pound each and have pies and cakes available. For more information or to place an order call Janet Richards 354-9196.
