COX AND PARSONS SEEKING BOND - Circuit Court Cases Set

Christopher Cox, 19, will appear before Judge Thomas Evans III this morning in Calhoun Circuit Court to request bond. Cox has been indicted for first degree murder, after he allegedly shot and stabbed Russell Metz last August. Cox has pled not guilty to the charge.

He is being represented by public defender Greta Davis.

Metz's body was discovered in a cabin a short distance off U. S. 33-119 near the Calhoun-Roane line. Cox is currently held in Central Regional Jail.

Grantsville resident Adam Parsons, 24, will also appear in court today seeking bond. Parsons pled not guilty after being indicted for the malicious wounding of a six-year-old Mt. Zion boy and his four-year-old twin brothers.

Parsons is currently in Central Regional Jail. He is represented by public defender Greta Davis.
