Volunteers enrich the lives of people who live in their communities. They're the
people who show up and do things. Chairman and CEO Tom Capps said "Everywhere I
go around the company, I see evidence of dedicated employees working to improve
community life - either through individual effort or a team project."
Grantsville resident, James L. Garretson, received special recognition at a Cleveland,
Ohio banquet recently as one of twelve Volunteers of the Year from states served by
Dominion Gas, based in Richmond, Virginia.
James L. Garretson - "The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade

Garretson is Chief of the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department, a dedicated member
of the Lions Club and helps kids through several community efforts. He is member of
the First Baptist Church and assists in many dedicated projects on a regular
basis.
