CALHOUN WRESTLERS TAKE WILLIAMSTOWN RUMBLE - Red Devils Juggernaut Rolls To Lopsided Victory

Calhoun crowned six individual champions en route to a 48-point victory in the Williamstown Rumble Saturday.

The Red Devils scored 189.5 points to easily outdistance runner-up St. Marys which had 141.5. Marietta, Ohio, was third with 137 followed by Class AAA East Fairmont with 115.5, Williamstown 95.5, Independence 90.5, Bridgeport 71.5, St. Albans 65, Wirt 28, Bishop Donahue 20, East Fairmont B 14 and Marietta B 3.

Calhoun had individual titles by Justin Ramsey (125), Jaron Sampson (130), Andrew Cummings (135), Justin Price (152), undefeated Paul Goodrich (171) and freshman Zac Yeager (189). The Red Devils had a second place finish by Dustyn Nichols (160) a third by Seth Jarvis (103) and fourths by Jeff Goodrich (140) and Michael Roberts (215).

Calhoun wrestled three weights short - 112, 145, and 275 - and had only one wrestler fail to place among those who competed. Calhoun, the third-ranked AA/A team in the state, returns to action this coming Friday and Saturday when it attempts to defend its Little Kanawha Conference crown at Braxton County.
