BLANKENSHIP LONE CANDIDATE FOR MAYOR - Council Still Has One Vacancy Incumbent Mayor Neil Blankenship was the lone candidate for Grantsville's mayor at the close of business Friday.

Grantsville resident Roger Propst has filed for Grantsville Recorder, challenging incumbent Phyllis Maze.

Three incumbents for the town council have filed again, JoAnn Stevens, Cheryl Davis and Charles Whipkey. Newcomer Gaylen Duskey has filed, leaving one seat still open.

Keith Smith and Loretta Stevens did not file for re-election.

There could be some last minute mail in filings from Saturday.
