HARDEES SLAYINGS BRUTAL - The slayings of two Hardees restaurant workers in Clarksburg appear to be brutal "crimes of violence," not robbery.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said that more than one weapon may have been used in the murders of Heather Jean Conner and Michael Dennis Mueller.

Officials have been tight-lipped about the slayings, not speculating on the motive.

The slayings happened when the restaurant was open late Sunday night.

Conner, 24, of Bridgeport and Mueller, 46, of Clarksburg were found early Monday in the employee area of the restaurant. Conner was a manager who had worked for the restaurant about three years, while Mueller had worked there about five months.
