Leonard L. Fowler, 98, of Stumptown

Leonard L. Fowler, 98, of Stumptown, W.Va., passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center Long Term Care of Grantsville, W.Va.

Born at Russett, Calhoun County, he was a son of the late I. Bert and Clara Williams Fowler. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, and was retired from the Cabot Corporation. He was a part owner of the Fowler Gas Company, and was a member of the Rush Run Baptist Church at Stumptown, W.Va.

Surviving is one brother, Ralph Fowler of Vienna, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Verna Vannoy Fowler; his second wife, Mary Kendall Fowler; a son, Robert Eugene Fowler; brothers, Royce, Dona, and Wood Fowler; and sisters, Ina Fox and Gladys Jarvis.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville, W.Va., with the Rev. John Vannoy officiating. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Grantsville, W.Va.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, until the time of the service.
