Genevieve L. Ferrell, 83, of Spencer, WV, died Monday, January 10, 2005, in the Miletree Center, Spencer. She was born March 31, 1921, in Spencer, a daughter of the late Romie F. and Hattie C. Harris Ferrell. She was a caregiver for the elderly and a Christian. Survivors include three sisters, Beulah M. Smith of Spencer, Ina G. Post of St. Clairsville, OH, and Betty L. Thompson of Liverpool, NY; one brother, Romie F. Ferrell of Aiken, SC; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Golda M. Westfall; brothers, Royce L. Ferrell and four infants. A private graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, with Ivan Westfall officiating. John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1200 Quarrier Street, Suite 4, Charleston, WV 25301.
