Lalah A. Knotts, 97, of Arnoldsburg, died Wednesday, May 16th at her home following a long illness.

Born at Stewarts Creek, Gilmer County, she was a daughter of the late Maury and Minnie Gerwig Keith, and was a homemaker.

Surviving are four sons, Charles Knotts of Avon Lake, Ohio, James Knotts of Elyria, Ohio, Holt Knotts of Tennessee and Clyde Knotts of Arnoldsburg; four daughters, Maxine Foutty of Alaska, Emmagene Burcal of Arnoldsburg, Earlene More of Tampa, Florida and Kathleen Traywick of Northville, Michigan; a brother, Lowell Keith of Dearborn, Michigan; three sisters, Margorie Rhodes of Vienna, Virginia, Isabel Arnold of Elizabeth, WV and Oleta Tomey of Tanner, WV; twenty one grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Knotts and a daughter Arlene Dobbins; a son, Dale Knotts, two brothers, Harry and Taylor Keith and a sister, Maple Hopson.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Robert Shannon will officiate. Interment will be in the Knotts Cemetery, Arnoldsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
