 Jackson County police say a Ravenswood woman has admitted she used a pillow to smother her three-month-old baby.
Authorities have charged Trinity Jewell (pictured left) with the death of her baby girl. Jewell reportedly said she used the pillow in an attempt to make her daughter stop crying.
Jewell's baby had been taken to a local hospital twice previously for respiratory problems, but doctors could not determine what caused those problems.
Jewell is lodged in the South Central Regional Jail. A preliminary hearing is being scheduled this week.
