AFTERNOON FRIDAY - Melissa Oshoway's crisis has worsened.
She has developed blood clots, one in her leg and one in her lungs.
Doctors took her into emergency surgery at 1 p.m. today "to put a filter in a main artery leading to her brain so that the blood clots cannot get there."
They are describing this as a "crisis."
