MISSY HAS A SHAKY DAY - A Turn For The Worse

(12/28/2004)
Monday was an up and then down day for Missy Oshoway.

It will be a long night, as her condition is serious.

After showing improvement and breathing on her own, pulling out her ventilator, she quit breathing yesterday and had to be put back on the ventilator.

She is suffering from head trauma received in a car accident Friday, now a patient at St. Marys Hospital in Huntington in their trauma unit.

Monday evening she appeared to take a turn for the worse, having to be placed in surgery because of building pressure around her brain. She was put on a pressure monitor, which indicates the pressure has dropped.

A spokesperson said they don't know why she has gone down hill so drastically.

The Ohshoways are asking for prayer, saying that prayer is the only thing anyone can do right now.

- "Sue and John ask that everyone continue to pray for Melissa's recovery. They are very grateful for the prayers that are given in behalf of their daughter. Sue was so appreciative of the prayer chains from all over the country. Please continue to write some of the e-mails that you receive from the prayer chains for Melissa, if you have time. Thank you." J. P.

- "I know we just have to keep the faith and keep these prayers going. We may need to try to ask folks commit to praying for Melissa by the hour." - J.B.

- "Almighty God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we humbly ask for the divine to come down and touch Missy, allowing her to be restored to live this life as your servant. We pray now for a merciful healing." - Daytona, Florida
