CHRISTMAS WILL BE WINTER WONDERLAND, SORTA - Rain, Snow And Cold, Friday Night Toward The Zero

With temperatures in the 50s, wind whipped across Sunny Cal Thursday morning bringing with it dropping temperatures, rain and snow.

Christmas Eve's temp is forecast to drop to three above zero.

The frigid conditions will extend through Christmas Day.

Rain will be moderate to heavy today as a strong cold front moves through changing the rain to snow.

There's a good chance most areas will have a white Christmas, but not much accumulation.

Christmas Day highs will only be in the mid to upper teens in most counties.

NOW

The rain may become mixed with sleet and snow after 10 a.m. Thursday. Westerly winds of 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts will continue. A chance of snow and rain showers this afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation. Windy. Morning highs in the mid 50s. Temperatures falling into the 30s this afternoon. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT

Much colder with lows around 18. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. FRIDAY

Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 20s. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Friday Night it will clear with lows around 3 above.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Mostly sunny. Highs around 17. Saturday Night Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows 5 to 10 above.

SUNDAY

Partly cloudy. Highs around 30. Sunday Night will be partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing with a low around 20.
