CHRISTMAS COCAINE HAS TRAGIC ENDING

(12/22/2004)
2004 - Someone will not have a happy Christmas.

A weekend plane crash near the Wheeling-Ohio County airport found no people dead or alive, but they did find $24 million dollars worth of cocaine.

The 500 pounds of coke was wrapped in Christmas paper.

The twin-engine plane crashed in a wooded area around midnight Saturday.

Federal authorities were seeking the pilot, identified as Eugene Nicholas Cobbs.

Despites billions of dollars spend on interdiction, the government has estimated that as many as 75 planes carrying illegal drugs fly into the US every day.

So much for Homeland Security and interdiction.
