Compact car and pick-up truck collide in Big Bend

EMS and Grantsville VFD personnel give aid to victim

A woman and two children were taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Rt. 5 and Yellow Creek Road at Big Bend.

None of the victims appeared to be seriously injured, according to a source at the scene.

A Ford compact car identified as Avon representative, Debbie Murphy, collided with a Chevy Truck as it was entering Route 5, according to Chief Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee.

Calhoun EMS dispatched two ambulances to the 6:10 p.m. accident with the Grantsville VFD also responding.
