STARCHER AND SHOCK RECEIVE MCKELVEY SCHOLARSHIPS

receive McKelvey Scholarships

The McKelvey Foundation has announced the 2005 Gold Scholarship recipients for the senior class at Calhoun High School. They are Tabatha Shock and Jeanette Starcher. McKelvey Foundation scholarship include payment for tuition, room and board, and approved fees of up to $10,000 per year for four years at a public or private McKelvey partnering college or university in West Virginia.

This scholarship meets the unmet financial need for students after other grants have been applied.

Receiving the scholarship allows attendance at Camp McKelvey, which will help orient students to college life and introduce entrepreneurial skills.

The recipients will participate in a one-day conference to meet with Mr. and Mrs. McKelvey.

Tabatha is the daughter of Tom and Ellen Shock of Millstone. Jeanette is the daughter of Janet Starcher of Mt. Zion.
