ELDERLY INVALIDS DIE IN BRAXTON FIRE

An elderly Braxton County couple have died in a house fire. The State Fire Marshal has ruled that a fatal weekend fire was accidental. The victims were a 70-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman, both depended on walkers or wheelchairs for mobility. The fire reportedly started from an electrical short in an extension cord under a living room carpet. Their bodies have been sent to the State Medical Examiner's office for identification.
