SANTA ARRIVING IN GRANTSVILLE TONIGHT - Hometown Christmas Parade Starts At 6, Craft And Gift Show Concludes

There are nearly 30 entries in tonight's Hometown County Christmas Parade, according to Michelle Sears. Last minute entries are welcome. Call Michelle at 354-6958.

The parade starts at 6 p.m.

It will feature the arrival of Santa Claus and music by the Calhoun Middle-High School Band. The Grantsville Lions Club has been preparing candy bags for for Santa Claus.

Santa hears Christmas wishes - Hometown Country Christmas 2002

Rev. and Mrs. Carroll McCauley will be parade marshals.

The parade "floats" will be judged for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes of $50, $30, and $20, donated by Spencer Walmart.

The United Methodist Parish is helping organize Christmas caroling on the courthouse steps following the parade.

Shoppers and visitors can visit the craft and gift show in the courthouse until 8 p.m. tonight. Visitors are eligible for some major door prizes this year.
