(11/20/2004) |
Charleston's AT&T call center has closed with 300 employees losing their jobs. Workers cleaned out their desks and said good-bye to their jobs yesterday. A union representative of the Communication Workers of America says the jobs are being outsourced to another country. AT&T denies the allegation. CWA representative Elaine Harris says the call-in center workforce has been tops in the country with loyal, hardworking employees. |
