AKRON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL APPOINTS CALHOUN GRADUATE AS MULTIMEDIA MANAGER

Akron Children's Hospital has named Andrea Reynolds, (left) a 1988 graduate of Calhoun County High School, as manager of Multimedia Services.

Reynolds, daughter of Ray and Doris Wayne, previously served as the Webmaster and senior public relations specialist at the hospital.

Reynolds will manage the strategic initiatives for the hospital's intranet, Internet and extranet sites. She also will manage the hospital's media relations program, and serve as managing editor of its quarterly physician newsletter and as the primary marketing specialist for the hospital's Heart Center and pediatric clinical trials company.

Reynolds joined Children's in 1997. Prior to that, she was an associate account executive with Katcher Vaughn & Bailey Communications in Brentwood, Tenn.

Reynolds earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn. She is a member of the eHealth Advisory Committee of the Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Akron Press Club and the Forum for Healthcare Strategists.

Reynolds currently lives in Stow, Ohio, with her 11-year-old daughter, Aly.
