STUMP HOTEL MUSEUM RIBBON CUTTING - Slated For June 7th

A formal ribbon cutting is planned for the Stump Hotel historical project in Grantsville for June 7th. The ceremony will be conducted at the original Quality Shop building (formerly State Farm Insurance) starting at 6:30 p.m.

Master of Ceremonies will be the President of the Calhoun County Historical and Genealogical Society who will introduce the keynote speaker Don McCartney.

Dr. and Mrs. Charles Albert Stump of Daytona, Florida will be the honorees. The Stump family has donated the old Stump Hotel and much of the property between Main and Mill Street. The adjacent Quality Shop building will become part of the project which will house the museum.

Harry Beall and Stephanie Curry will entertain.

The museum will be open during the Wood Festival with audio-visual and artifact displays, items for sale and a gourmet sweets table.
