(11/05/2004)
At least one woman was taken to a Braxton County hospital by Calhoun EMS about 5 a.m. Thursday following a car crash at the Calhoun-Clay line on Route 16.

She was identified as Sandra (Khalaf)Guy of Clay.

The woman was reportedly ejected from a Mustang with a cloth top, and may have suffered a broken leg and other injuries.

Sources identified a male in the car as Richard Cummings of Clay, who was recently the victim of a shooting on Clay's Murder Mountain. Cummings and Sandra (Khalaf) Guy were connected to the dumping of a murdered man's body in Clay County.

A Clay County Grand Jury just indicated Tommy Young of Ovapa for shooting and injuring Cummings, reportedly five counts, all felonies.

Some passengers in the vehicle reportedly fled the scene.

Emergency services, including the Upper West Fork VFD, responded to the scene.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee investigated the accident.
