Murlene J. Coon, 75 - Mt. Zion

Murlene J. Coon, 75, of Mt. Zion, West Virginia, passed away October 30, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital, Parkersburg. Born in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Orde C. and Nellie Husk Starcher. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church at Hur. Surviving are 4 daughters, Beverly Wagner of South Point, Ohio, Norma J. Coon of Mt. Zion, Sandra S. Luskin of Middleburg Heights, Ohio and Sheila R. Hardbarger of Elizabeth; 1 sister, Wanda Lee Kerby of Elizabeth; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Coon, Jr. and 2 sons, Freddie Dean Coon and Charles Howard Coon. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Rev. Delmas Stutler will officiate. Interment will be in the Coon Cemetery near Mt. Zion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 3 and 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday.
