Mary Kendall Fowler, 87 - Stumptown

Mary Kendall Fowler, 87 of Stumptown, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord October 19, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital, Parkersburg.

Born at Cowen, Webster County, July 25, 1917, she was a daughter of the late William and Nettie Parsons Donahue. She had attended the Loch Lynn Church of God in Oakland, Maryland and was a member of the Rush Run Baptist Church near Stumptown. She was a fifty year member of the Community Education Outreach Service and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Leonard Fowler and 2 daughters, Alice Kendall Church and her husband Jack of Newark, Ohio and LeVern Kendall Smith and her husband Dallas of Terra Alta, WV; 2 sons, Jerry D. Kendall and his wife Jeanne of Eleanor, WV and William J. Kendall and his wife Connie of Newark, Ohio; 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 54 years Simon Glen Kendall and a daughter Agnes J. Lewis.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 23 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. Rev. Robert Fletcher will officiate. Interment will be in the Collins-Community Cemetery at Stumptown.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday.
