Mary Ann Rouse, 81 - Akron, Ohio

Mary Ann Rouse, 81, passed away October 15, 2004. Born in West Virginia, she lived in Akron, Ohio for most of her life. She began working at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1942 and retired in 1985 after 43 years of service. Mary Ann was of the Baptist faith. She was a great mother to her son, Billy. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1985; brother, Howard Brannon; and sister, Leatha Simons. Mary Ann is survived by her son, William F. of Akron; and sisters, Ernestine (Kenneth) Keaton, Orpha Cottrell, and Virginia "June" (Okey) Miller, all of West Virginia. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 19 at 11 a.m., at Hillside Memorial Park (Mausoleum Chapel) 1025 Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio. Entombment to follow service. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Weaver Workshop, 89 East Howe Rd., Tallmadge, Ohio 44278. Arrangements by Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home.
