Calhoun County Schools has only one maintenance employee for all schools.

Calhoun Middle High School has two fewer custodians than in 1998 when the building was opened.

The proposed excess levy will provide funds for the employment of teachers and service personnel positions not funded by the State School Aid Formula.

The average annual utility costs increased from $167,000 in 1998 to $307,000 last year.

Calhoun County Schools spends approximately $30,000 for copier costs each year and the average cost of a textbook is over $50.00.
