SHERIFF LOOKING FOR DRIVER WHO LEFT ACCIDENT SCENE - Huntington Man Injured in Crash

(10/09/2004)
An investigation is continuing into the collision of two vehicles on Route 16 south of Chloe early Friday morning. (SEE earlier story and photos on the Herald)

Sheriff Allen Parsons said the driver of a GMC Jimmy belonging to Josh Roberts left the scene of the 6:30 a.m. accident, after the Jimmy went left of center and crashed with a Dodge Neon.

Sheriff Parsons said the GMC Jimmy Driver apparently ignored the trapped driver inside the other vehicle.

The Upper West Fork VFD extricated John Skaggs, 39, of Huntington. He was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center and later transfered to Charleston Area Medical Center.

Parsons said he is working on locating the driver who left the scene.
