MORE WV RESERVISTS CALLED TO DUTY

(10/09/2004)
More West Virginia soldiers are headed for Iraq, although press releases say they are being called up for international terrorism.

A Parkersburg-based Army Reserve unit is being activated next week.

One hundred members of the 99th Regional Readiness Command's Parkersburg-based 463rd Engineer Battalion, Company C, will be mobilized to "respond to the threat of global terrorism." Reservists are speculating they are going to Iraq.

Other reservists are also scheduled to be called from West Virginia, adding to several thousand that are already on the ground in Iraq.
