OX ROAST WORKERS RECOGNIZED WITH DINNER

Those who helped with the 45th Mt. Zion Community Ox Roast enjoyed a covered dish dinner yesterday at the park. Former Mt. Zion postmistress Fern Weaver began bringing her family to the Mt. Zion Ox Roast 45 years ago, including her son David ... ... (pictured far left) who as an adult has continued to help with the event, in recent years as the "Ox-Master" in charge of the smoldering pit and meat preparation David Weaver, now a Methodist pastor, said he is grateful for those who gave their time and effort this year.
