RUSH RUN BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED - One Of Calhoun's "Unsafe" Bridges

A bridge listed as one of the unsafest in Calhoun County is slated for repairs and will likely be closed for a two week period. Listed by the WVDOH as the "Junk Stump Bridge" but known to most as the Rush Run Bridge (7-7/6-4.95 on Rush Run Road) just off the Rt. 7 Russett-Stumptown Road, will soon have some repairs. The bridge has been off-limits to any heavy vehicles for several years, including fire trucks which have had to access the community by a different route, often preventing their arrival. The bridge will be closed starting Monday, October 4. Residents will be detoured by going south on CR 7/6 to US 33 to WV 16 to Grantsville.
