BODY FOUND IN JACK'S HOUSE

(09/18/2004)
An 18-year-old Winfield man was found dead Friday afternoon inside the Putnam County house owned by $314 million Powerball jackpot winner Jack Whittaker.

Jesse Joe Tribble was found dead about noon, in what was described as an "unattended death."

Whittaker was not home at the time.

Sgt. Lisa Arthur of the Putnam sheriff's department told The Associated Press that Tribble was a friend of Whittaker's teenage granddaughter.

Whittaker has been the subject of numerous events related to his wealth, from robbery and drunkenness to charges of sexual harassment.
