NEW MINNORA SENIOR CENTER MOVING FORWARD - Commission Approves Property Lease

New Senior Center will be located on lot adjacent Minnora School, once used as a ball field The construction of a new senior center at Minnora for southern Calhoun is moving ahead. The Calhoun Commission unanimously passed a motion yesterday to give a long term lease on about four acres of property to the Calhoun County Committee on Aging. The center will get a 99-year lease on a lot adjacent to the Minnora Center, on which a new building will be constructed to provide a multitude of services to the area. The commissioners acted on a recommendation of the Building Commission. Details of the lease will be worked through the Building Commission and Prosecuting Attorney Matt Minney.
