RT. 16 CLOSED AT STINSON LAST NIGHT - Calhoun Escaping Wrath Of Ivan

Water has lower Pine Creek closed this evening,
with a section of the road appearing to have collapsed

FLOOD WATCH-WARNING CANCELED

Calhoun appears to have escaped most of the wrath of Ivan, the storm quickly moved across the area.

However, further rainfall tonight could create more problems.

The Little Kanawha at Grantsville and Glenville is expected to crest below flood stage.

West Fork water has closed Rt. 16 south at Stinson this evening, according to Deputy Sheriff Ron Bandy.

The Upper West Fork VFD were moving their equipment from the fire station to higher ground.

Munday Road was closed with local flooding. That road is currently a detour route to Parkersburg since Route 5 is closed four miles east of Elizabeth with a bridge problem.

Lower Pine Creek Road is closed because of local flooding.

Power lines are down near the Calhoun-Ritchie Line, Rt. 16.

Parts of southern West Virginia is flooding.
