DAVIS FACING 40 YEARS - Creston Man Charged With Drug Trafficking

(09/16/2004)
Russell Glenn Davis, 45, of Creston, Wirt County could possibly face five to 40 years in prison.

Davis was arrested August 12 at his trailer along Route 5 just west of Creston. He's charged with conspiracy to distribute five grams or more of crack cocaine.

Two other men, Robert Henderson and John Whiteside, both from Michigan, were arrested the same night after authorities say they delivered drugs to Davis' trailer.

Police have indicated the arrests are linked to drug trafficking in the region.

Russell Davis gave testimony in the Judd Reid murder case in Roane County, because he was dating Reid's daughter at the time.

Davis testified in the case in which Tariff resident Tattoo Vince Golosow was found guilty and sent to prison.

Richard Cummings and his girlfriend Sandra Khalaf, currently involved in shoot-outs on Murder Mountain in Clay County, were also key witnesses in the murder case.

A female identified as Barbara McCaffrey, 20, of South Point, Ohio was charged with possession of less than 15 grams.
