| Sarah V. Swiney Jones, 88, of Walton, died Thursday, September 9, 2004, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after a long illness.
She was born November 15, 1915, at Walton, a daughter of the late Samuel Morgan and Mary Maggie Payne Swiney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jones; son, Otis "Junior" Swiney; stepsons, Bill and Chad Jones; brother, James Swiney.
She was a homemaker and faithful long-time member of the Walton Nazarene Church.
Survivors include grandsons, Robert Mitchell Swiney and Daris Wooster; four great grandchildren; nieces, Karen Swiney and Patty Bice; stepdaughters, Ernie Cunningham and Hedy Weaver.
A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Walton Union Church, Walton. Burial will be in the Walton/Dillard Cemetery, Walton.
Friends may call at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and at the church one hour before the funeral.
