PINK ROAD MAN INDICTED FOR GROWING POT

(09/08/2004)
A Pink Road man has been indicted by a Calhoun Grand Jury for manufacturing a controlled substance.

Marvin D. Holstein, 32, whose address is Rt. 2, Arnoldsburg, has been indicted on four drug counts related to growing marijuana.

Officers discovered several marijuana plants, seeds and growing supplies on Holstein's property after obtaining a search warrant. Some of the plants were growing in buckets, while others were growing nearby.

Holstein told officers he was growing the marijuana for his personal use and told them about his "personal stash" inside the dwelling.

He was arrested by Conservation Officer John Apgar.

Officers processed the search warrant on July 23, after which Holstein was taken to Central Regional Jail.
