LOCAL ALLEGHENY POWER GAS CUSTOMERS GET INFLATED BILL - Customers Should Contact Company

Local Allegheny natural gas customers have reportedly received "very high gas bills," according to Larry Dawson of Town Hill Road near Grantsville. Dawson said he complained to the company when he received a bill for $124.50. "The company told me my bill should have been between $15-20," said Dawson. "They said the bills will be corrected." At least eight people have said they received a recent bill that far exceeds the amount they expected to pay. Allegheny did not return a call regarding the issue, but up to 180 customers could be affected. Allegheny can be reached at 1-800-255-3443.
