Members of Grantsville Rebekah Lodge No. 52 met on Sunday afternoon, July 18, 2004, at the Siers-Hathaway residence in Vienna to celebrate the 70th. Anniversary of their Lodge.

The current group was organized on July 17, 1934. They have been active in many community activities and most recently have been known for their apple butter skills. Many of their members have served as officers within their district and several have served their state as West Virginia Rebekah Assembly officers. The membership is most happy to acknowledge two of their members, Carolyn Hathaway and Deborah Siers, who served as State Presidents of the West Virginia Rebekah Assembly.

Due to the year long illness of their Noble Grand, Zelda "Tag" Siers, the group met in Vienna for their celebration. The afternoon was spent in remembering events of the past several years and having a "good-bye" party for Doris McCune who has moved to Wyoming. The group enjoyed a most delicious meal at a new Parkersburg Restaurant.

Those attending were: Zelda "Tag" Siers, Loretta Stevens, Sherry Butt, Doris McCune, Carolyn Hathaway and Debbie Siers.
