CAMPBELL'S SOUP SAVED AFTER TRACTOR BURNS - Two Fire Departments Respond To Mt. Zion

Fire erupts in cab of parked tractor-trailer

Left is the shell of the cab, but trailer is saved

A tractor-trailer carrying Campbell's soup caught fire while it was parked along State Route 16 near Country Lane Road last night.

The tractor was completely destroyed by fire, but firemen managed to save the trailer load of soup.

Dennis Bailey, a long-distance truck driver, parked the unit early yesterday morning, coming home to rest. Residents noticed the cab was on fire and called 911.

Bailey said his laptop computer and a TV was destroyed in the cab.

The Arnoldsburg and Grantsville Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the call.
