| Whetzel O. Ray, 96, of Creston, West Virginia, passed away August 16, 2004 at Miletree Health Care Center, Spencer following a long illness.
Born at Linden, Roane County, he was a son of the late Romentis and Sarah Barnett ray. He was a retired oil field worker and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II.
Surviving are his wife, Julia Ann Alvis Ray and 2 sons, Charles and James Ray, both of Creston; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 19, at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Snyder Chapel Cemetery at Annamoriah.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. |
