Huddle Coach Bob Bailey: "I want to thank Justin Ramsey and Tyler Schartiger for their participation in our Huddle's last community project for the school year.

Back in May, they planted shrubs around the Minnora United Methodist Mission building. Thanks guys!

The Calhoun FCA Huddle wishes to thank all those who supported their first year back in Calhoun Middle/High School.

We accomplished a lot through the donations of local businesses, churches, and individuals who donated moneys to us.

I'm sure in various ways, these blessings have enriched their lives as much as ours; such is the wonderful mystery of Christ and how His blessings come full-circle to both the giver and receiver!

The Calhoun FCA Huddle participated in the Marshall University Game-Day festivities and donated to their food bank, supported Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, funded Bibles to Iraq via Campus Crusades for Christ.

We were fortunate to have former Denver Bronco and current FCA speaker Steve Fitzhugh give a presentation to the student body.

We participated in the Adopt-A-Highway program and entered a float in the annual Christmas Parade.

We had lots of fun!

I want to thank Assistant Huddle Coach, Tim Davis and especially all the coaches, who made me feel welcome and permitted me to spend time with their athletes.

Special thanks to Mike Offutt, Deb Goff, and Sherri Earl for lots of help. Thank you, Bob Weaver for all the press.

Thanks the Athletic Boosters, the Huddle seniors of last year were given parting gifts in a special presentation at the All-Sports banquet.

There will be many goals this year; among them are fundraisers, school presentations, increasing our numbers, etc.

After such a successful year and establishing ourselves in the school and community, my focus this year is to make absolutely sure that our Huddle understands and hopefully accepts the relationship we all can have with Jesus Christ.

As this happens, the results will be seen in our new lives through our athletic accomplishments and in our everyday lives.

We hope to have enough funds this year to attend the WVU FCA Game-day festivities. We went to the Marshall one last year, but couldn't afford both.

We welcome opportunities to serve the school and the community.

Please take note of our new banner which will be hanging in the gymnasium, a thank you, to Donald & Lori Wilson and the Boosters, for putting it up!"

The kick-off meeting for the new school year is at the home of Huddler Hannah Conley on Saturday, August 28th at 4:00 p.m.

Huddle, be there!
