PINK ROAD MAN ARRESTED FOR GROWING POT

(08/05/2004)
A Pink Road man has been charged with possession of marijuana and manufacturing a controlled substance.

Marvin D. Holstein, 34, whose address is Rt. 2, Arnoldsburg, was arrested by Conservation Officer John Apgar.

Officers discovered several marijuana plants, seeds and growing supplies on Holstein's property after obtaining a search warrant. Some of the plants were growing in buckets, while others were growing nearby.

Holstein told officers he was growing the marijuana for his personal use and told them about his "personal stash" inside the dwelling.

Officers processed the search warrant on July 23, after which Holstein was taken to Central Regional Jail.
