Vance W. Stump, 88 - Orma

Vance W. Stump, 88 of Orma, West Virginia, passed away July 22, 2004 at Laurel Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center at Big Otter.

Born at Stumptown, Gilmer County, he was a son of the late Fred and Lydia Stump. He was a member of the Minnora United Methodist Church, was retired from the Orders Construction Company and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II.

Surviving are a son, Mike Stump and his wife, Jean of Chloe; daughter, Patti Hicks and her husband Ed of Chloe; brother, Roy Stump of Huntington; 4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; a special niece, Lou and Gary Stewart of Marshall, Illinois.

In addition to his parents Mr. Stump was preceded in death by his wife, Nelma Stump; son, Butch McKinley; brother, Fred Pell Stump, sister, Eva Jean Postalwait and infant brother and sister.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Tim Hickman will officiate. Interment will be in the Minnora Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon Saturday until the time of services.
