MAN SUFFERS INJURIES IN TIMBER ACCIDENT

A man cutting a tree was injured in what was described as a timbering accident Sunday morning about 8 a.m. The victim reportedly suffered an open fracture" of his leg, among other injuries.

He was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center by Calhoun EMS, after HealthNet could not respond to the area because of fog.

The accident happened in an area off Oka Road, more than three miles from State Route 16.

The Upper West Fork VFD also responded.
