Cressie Minney Hunt, 88 - Orlando, Florida

Cressie Minney Hunt, 88, died July 3, 2004. Formerly of Hyndman, Pennsylvania she moved to Orlando, Florida in 1990 to live with her daughter.

Born on Chestnut Lick, Gilmer County, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Myrtle Meadows Minney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Hunt, of Calhoun County, WV; her twin brother, Ressie; sisters, Ena Allen and and Ina Cottrell.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by loving children, son, Vernon D. Hunt (Kay) of Schellsburg, PA and daughter, Cara Lea Fugh (Larry) of Orlando; her two loving grandchildren, Aaron D. Hunt (Patricia) of State College, PA, and Kenneth M. Fugh of Orlando; brother, Denis Minney of Charleston, WV; sister Rena Lambert of Windham, Ohio; half brothers, Audie Minney of Ohio, and C.A. Minney of WV; half sister, Darlie Schoolcraft of Ohio; many nephews and nieces.

She was a devoted wife and mother, an avid quilter and needleworker. Many friends and relatives were recipients of these talents. She loved nature and the outdoors. She could often be heard singing and whistling hymns as she tended her vegetable and flower gardens. Her love of books began when she read her first book as a little girl. She especially enjoyed books of poetry. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She had an abiding Christian faith and lived it every day. She attended the Calvery Bible Church in Ellerslie, MD and the fellowship Bible Church on Orlando.

Graveside rites will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rosedale Baptist Church Cemetery, Rosedale, WV. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg.
