MORE HOLIDAY DEATHS ON ATVS THAN AUTOS - Raleigh Rider Impaled

A Raleigh County man was impaled by a fence railing after losing control of a ATV on Shriver Avenue.

Joseph Andrew Worley, 34, of Raleigh hit a section of pipe about 6 to 8 feet long beside the street, striking him in the chest.

He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington where he was listed in critical condition yesterday.

Joey Allen Taylor of West Hamlin was killed Sunday on his ATV on a Lincoln County highway and 39-year-old James R. Collins of Morgantown was killed Saturday night when the ATV he was riding crashed.
