Vere Brannon put his riding lawn mower away Saturday
afternoon and went to the house for a drink of water. It
exploded, causing a brush fire behind his house off Route 16
south of Arnoldsburg. The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to help
put out the blaze.
Calhoun EMS responded to a single car accident on Sycamore
Road near Russett Saturday night. No one was taken to the
hospital. State police investigated the accident.
An ambulance was dispatched to Pine Creek Sunday afternoon
where a child was reported to be suffering from a possible
accidental poisoning. The victim was transported to Minnie
Hamilton Health Care Center.
